Firstly, we hope you all are doing well, and we want to assure you that we are here for you and your pets. We are an essential business and remain open with normal business hours. In keeping with the most current recommendations to protect your health and the health of our team, we are shifting from in clinic appointments to tele-health, curbside service, or drop off appointments. As of 6/17/20, we have some limited availability scheduled inside doctor appointments. You will need to schedule an inside appointment with a receptionist, who will go over the protocol with you. When you call in a team member will help you find the best fit for you and your pet’s need and answer any questions you may have.
If you or someone you have had contact with meets the criteria for concern as stated below please let us know so we can take specific precautions.
Please call 913-829-7387(PETS) prior to your scheduled appointment if any of the following conditions exist:
- You or your family members have exhibited flu-like symptoms including high temperature, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, or aches at any time during the past 14 days.
- You have traveled outside the United States in the past 14 days or to regions within the US where there is an outbreak of COVID-19.
- You have tested positive for the Coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
- You have been tested for the Coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and are awaiting test results.
If you answered “yes” to any of these conditions and have a pet with an urgent medical issue, please call us so that we may make a plan for your pet and take specific precautions.
If you answered “yes” and your pet does not have an urgent medical issue, please call and we will reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Daytime Emergencies: Please call our office on your way so we may prepare for your arrival. When you arrive call into 913-829-7387(PETS) let us know you have arrived with an emergency, please wait in your car and a team member will come to get your pet.
Scheduled Curbside service: When you arrive call into 913-829-7387(PETS), please wait in your car and a team member will come to get your pet. Patient history and payments will be taken over the phone. We will work thoroughly and efficiently to meet your pet’s need. This option is best for those that have flexibility in their schedule.
Scheduled Tele-medicine:This service is for established clients with pets that have been seen by one of our doctors. This criteria is a regulation we must follow.
Scheduled Drop-off appointments: Drop-off appointments are worked in throughout the day between scheduled appointments, surgeries, medical emergencies, and other drop-off pets. Dogs are given potty walks and access to water, cats are supplied with litterboxes and access to water. (Unless medically indicated otherwise.) Limited Availability Inside Appointments: In addition to our recommended curbside service for exams, beginning Friday the 5th, we will be scheduling in-clinic doctor’s exams with limited availability. Our team will be wearing masks and will supply you with disinfectant for your hands upon entry. We ask that only one person accompanies your pet and that person wears a face mask while inside the building. You will need to schedule an inside appointment with a receptionist, who will go over the protocol with you.
Pre-arranged pet food and medication: For efficiency please place your order in advance for pet food and medication. When you arrive call into 913-829-7387(PETS), payment will be taken over the phone. Please wait in your car and a team member arrive with your order. When possible please have your trunk open so we may place your order for you while maintaining social distancing.
Scheduled Grooming: Yes, we are still grooming pets Monday-Friday with a scheduled appointment. When you arrive call into 913-829-7387(PETS), please wait in your car and a team member will come to get your pet. Grooming instructions and payments will be taken over the phone.
Scheduled Lodging: We are open for lodging with a scheduled reservation. We ask that the only personal items you bring for your pet are their food. Please bring food in a container that can be cleaned between caretaker uses. Ziploc baggies are not recommended at this time. We are unable to accept beds and blankets, but rest assured we will provide bedding for your pet. When possible we encourage people to fill out our electronic lodging form online and it will be emailed to our office. Nail trims and anal gland expressions: Please schedule these services so we may provide efficient care, as wait times may increase due to sanitation protocols and increased roles each team member is playing.
